Attendees were asked to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.
The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance, as attendees were asked to stand and recite it together.
Roll call was conducted with all council members present.
The clerk conducted a roll call to ensure the presence of council members. Councilwoman Cruz, Councilwoman Charis Baris, Councilwoman Davis, Councilman Pollis, and Mayor Mendel were all present.
Proclamation presented to honor the accomplishments of the junior track and field team.
Councilwoman Cruz presented a proclamation honoring the Essex County Suburban Junior Track and Field Team for their outstanding achievements. The team competed valiantly under the leadership of Head Coach Terry Ione, Assistant Coaches Chris Romano, and Casey Newman. The athletes were recognized for their discipline, dedication, and sportsmanship.
Proclamation presented to honor Special Olympics participants and achievements.
Councilwoman Gonzalez presented a proclamation recognizing the Special Olympics Track and Field Team for their outstanding performance and dedication. The team, led by Coach Tiffany Miller, competed valiantly and displayed great discipline and sportsmanship.

Councilwoman Terrace Tab Baris presented a proclamation recognizing the Bloomfield High School Key Club for their service, community involvement, and leadership. The club, led by members Aiden Haney and Aha, was honored for significant accomplishments and participation in the International Key Club Convention.
Proclamation recognizing the service and impact of New Life Christian Church.
Councilman Pollis presented a proclamation honoring the New Life Christian Church for its service and impact on the community under Reverend Dr. Stephen Webb's leadership. The church has been a pillar in the community, providing services and outreach.
Presentation on improving township communications and engagement.
A presentation was given by the Dow Dell Group on the new strategic communications plan for Bloomfield Township. The plan aims to improve transparency, responsiveness, and engagement with residents through enhanced communication channels and processes.
Approval of previous conference and regular meeting minutes.
The minutes from the previous conference meeting and regular meeting were presented for approval. Councilwoman Gonzalez moved for approval, which was seconded and approved by the council.
Various notices from state and environmental agencies were read.
The clerk read several written communications, including notices from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, Department of Transportation, and other entities regarding environmental and infrastructure matters.
