Mike Bernard is a multi-optioned screenwriter, author and playwright. His work has been recognized internationally in the Academy Nicholl Fellowship, PAGE, ScreenCraft, New York and Los Angeles Screenplay competitions. His ‘midlife crisis’ writing career began when all his children and all his money went off to college. Mike will present his ‘Boston Irish Belt Trilogy’ novels: Gaelic and Garlic: A Boston Love Story; The Crossing Guards; and Crossing the Sagamore. The discussion will include local inspirations, writing process, Hollywood screenplay adaptations, Irish Catholic guilt and passive aggressive mothers (definitely not his own).
